Do you think you could install a BOV in place of the symposer?

I watched this video a few times and base off your recommendation I purchased a set of PoorBoiz. That was over a week ago and have yet to receive any updates. Tried emailing and nothing. How long did it take you to receive yours from them.

Only the first few years of the G1 Insight did lean burn, can your mod make all G1 Insights have lean burn? Also, can the cars with the CVT be converted to Linsight?

Feels like question 12 was the correct verdict but not the precise reasoning. It deploys more electric power, but if it does not regenerate more as well, you would be depleting much faster than you got charge back. So the true cause of that increase in economy is not because you deployed more power (that is a symptom), but because you must have regenerated at a higher power and thus more of the deceleration was shoved back into the battery and not lost in the brakes. Side benefit, higher deployment allows the engine to stay in lean burn more often, which I am told makes a big difference to consumption too. If either or both explanations are correct, then as a prospective buyer, that gives me some confidence about this upgrade working exactly as intended.

It looks like your Insight has an extra bushing on the outside of your transmission mount. It’s a big black O-ring looking thing on the exhaust side of the mount. Is that an additional piece that you put in or did later models of insights have that? I have a 2001 CVT.

When you said pics of the oil pan do you mean just the outside or actually dropping and resealing the pan or the sample of oil in a drain pan?

Disconnect the negative cable on the 12 volt battery for 10 seconds and then reconnect it. Start the engine and the IMA battery will charge in 6 minutes.

Did you sell the PT Cruiser? We’ve had 2 GT’s, first a 2003. Ran it to 176.000 mile, timing belt changed at 113000 miles. Sold it to a friend, it now as 225000 miles, still no problem. 2005 bought it with 65000, just turned 86000 miles. Both have been 4 speed auto sticks. Just great dependable car, & fun & comfortable. The key is to get the car to pass smog check...it fails if there is a check engine light. So the arduino hack wlll do this? Then I can just drive it on gas.

I have an 03 & my reverse is the lower right. It's touchy, though. I have to put in first before it will go into reverse most of the time. I had friends that had older Volkswagens & the reverse was in the upper left. One of them didn't even have a clutch! She would take her foot off the gas & change gears..😮

hmm I replaced the 12v agm battery in my chevy volt with 280ah of lifepo4 (~4kwh), and then added 200w of flexible solar to my roof to keep it charged up. my mpg went from 200mpg to 340mpg lol. weighs about the same, maybe 45lb instead of 60lbs. eliminating that parasitic 12v load (~500w) and having the panels make up for it during the day when my cars parked at work/home. last ~10 gal tank i got about 1800 miles on. i put the lithium battery in a month ago and havent had to buy gas yet but its going to be about 3000-4000miles on 10 gal again lol.

is this 82 calculated by filling the tank or is it lies from the trip computer

Do you check the math at fill up? Both my cars are almost always optimistic by 2-3 mpg...

It’s impossible to see better than glasses and contacts after LASIK. It’s a mathematical certainty. But I’m still glad you’re happy with the results. All of the friends regretted having LASIK. Some went back wearing glasses two or three years after. All of them report halos and haze at night, reduced contrast and etc. I just came to understand the actual permanent complication rate is 55%.
